There are days where I wake up feeling like a super hero. Days that I feel fearless, unstoppable, ready to fight the negativity we see in this world with a blast of rainbow love and endless hope. Those days, I like to put on a catsuit, like this one by Burnt Soul, and set off into the infinite lands of creativity and unicorns shining my soul so brightly out into the Universe hoping to lift off and find myself in another dimension.

No, I didn't go to Africa or India, where one could argue life is at its rawest, but I saw some shit. Walking around Thailand and Indonesia with my eyes peeled back definitely turned the knife in my heart a couple times over. It's easy to be complacent and feel that life has been unfair to you from behind your shiny new iSomething, but when you hear that roughly 1/6th of the World lives in poverty and has nothing, I really mean nothing.

On the streets of Bangkok and along the river you will find peopl...

We're all in search of something. Something we can't explain or put into words.  We have expectations that something we see or do will change us in some way. We travel with hopes that it will transform us and we'll return with an answer, or a purpose that will bring meaning to our lives. It becomes clearer to me everyday that the more we seek, searching up and down, left and right, the cloudier our vision becomes.

We look but we don't always see.

We think we know ho...

It took the planet as we know it about 14 billion years to create us. 14 billions years for life to exist. Our breath here is so unique and so dependent upon an ecosystem that is so exact, so perfect, it is truly a miracle. Now, in the year 2016 (or 14 billion-ish?), we face multiple challenges regarding the health of our planet, settling our differences of opinion and creating equality among humanity. All else aside, the one undisputed fact we can all agree on is that we have no other home and nowhe...

A few weekends ago we drove up to Joshua Tree with a friend's newly acquired badass festival RV. Her name was not determined yet but we started to come up with names such as Big Bertha or something slightly butch. Our mistake.  We'd hoped she would provide us with many good times at some of the upcoming festivals our crew is going to attend.

If you saw the Superbowl like most Americans last night then you most likely didn't miss the highly anticipated halftime show. If you did miss it, this year Beyonce, Coldplay and Bruno Mars were the main headliners. The show was psychedelic, colorful and clearly pointed at a very specific agenda. Beyonce and Coldplay are both Global Citizen Ambassadors, which if you're not familiar with you can read about it here.

The main message of the whole campaign was, “Believe in...

We're smart enough and evolved enough to know that if you teach a dog to whine or bark or sit or even kill with positive reinforcement it will continue to do these things and think it is virtuous. As we know, the same is true for humans. We come into the world as learners and we are taught what is good and what is evil. We know that if we teach our kids it's not OK to kill but killing in war is acceptable, we're sending mixed signals. We're smart enough to make those correlations. But...

Today on my morning walk with my little pups I stumbled across a trash can near the mailboxes in my building that was over flowing with flyers and coupons.

To me, this symbolizes a society that is completely inundated and over its head in stuff. Junk. Useless material things. I made me refelct on how we are living in a world where consumerism is at its highest and frankly, we can't really keep up. Our minds can’t keep up. Our bodies can’t keep up. Our check books can’t keep up. Our landfills can’t...

In the face of adversity, remember who are you…

Remember what it felt like to be a child, before you knew anything about the world you were born into. Find a way to reconnect with your inner child and see the world with an open forgiving mind.

We can be free again. The journey you need to take lies within you. Close your eyes and clear your thoughts.

You were born to do this.

I feel the need to step away from social media for awhile. I used to think it was a great way to connect all of us and a place where we could bring light to things that need attention. At this point I feel that no matter how loud the message is, it is becoming drowned out by so much frenetic noise and chaos that it is too difficult for us to stay focused on our owntruths. I think it is important to speak out and up to our friends and family but looking back to most historical situations where we have...
